What a great movie. Copula at his best. Some of the all time great movie quotes come from this movie. Artie Lang of the Howard Stern show can quote this whole move and does really funny impersonations. Here is a link to a Godfather soundboard if you want to check out the quotes yourself:

Wow, some of my earlier shirt descriptions kind of suck. I am killing time on hell hold and looking at this shirt description that I did about eight months ago, and it lags significantly. At some point I will have to go back and redo pretty much the first hundred. Lame. I think it fair to say my t-shirt description style has evolved and developed significantly over the last year. Of course, it could be massive ego and all I am doing is boring customers even more.
My personal god father was my Uncle Sal, who lived in Brooklyn throughout my childhood. He and my Aunt Rose were sweet as hell, and good for a few bucks every Christmas. I wish I had known them better. My mom once told me she had considered going back to NYC when I was young and I found myself saying "Why didn't we?" Honestly, I never really fit in well in the whole Southern California surf culture (using the term "culture" in the loosest sense possible) and have always felt at ease in New York. I sometimes feel like I got totally ripped off for a cool childhood. Instead I spent most of my youth hiding from my father and having rocks thrown at me by the other misanthropes who passed as my friends.
Wah wah wah. Enough about my tragic childhood. Let's talk more about a this great movie. Check out the the Godfather trailer if you need a refresher. You can see some of Brando's best lines, as well as a freakishly young looking Pacino. I saw Heat last night and the contrast is startling.
Man I love doing these some nights. I just found an awesome Lego Godfather video clip. It's a remake of the Italian restaurant scene. Too cool.
I also found this Simpsons Godfather spoof that's pretty well done. However, I actually see Maggie as the crime boss, not Bart.
Wow this is weird. I just found out that the horse head used in the movie director scene was a real head they got from a glue factory and the actor didn't know. No wonder the scene looked so real. Here's another weird fact: the studio seriously considered Martin Sheen, Dean Stockwell, Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson and Dustin Hoffman for the roll of Michael over Al Pacino. I would have a hard time seeing any of those guys in that role.
Also considered for the roll of Vito was Ernest Borgnine, Edward G Robinson, Orson Welles, Anthony Quinn and George C. Scott. Again, as much as a fan of Patton as I am, I can't see any of these guys doing something with the roll of Vito besides sucking at it.
Anyway, I'm first in line for tech support, which hopefully means I will get to talk to someone in the next couple minutes. I think I will wrap it up here with a link to this really interesting article on the history of the famous Italian-American Anti-Defamation League.
