I can't really say a lot about this shirt. The fact is I did go to college and spelled college "collage" for years. The only reason I spell it right now is I got it wrong so much that I am very careful around that word, but the fact of the matter is I have to think hard about it every time I use it.
Wow. I was looking for humorous spelling errors and came across www.d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y.com . It looks like someone either has a real hair up his you-know-what or too much free time (or both). I did find this list of 11 great spelling mistakes. I like the vanity plate myself.
I guess I should link this article about the famous (at least if you are my age) Dan Quayle spelling bee episode. Rumor has it he attended collage as well. Here is the spelling bee video. What an idiot. Looks like he got a law degree from Indiana University School of Law. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.
Hmm. Coming up dry on spelling topics. I guess it's a little dull. I'll focus on colleges. Here is a list of the top 100 colleges. I don't know if I should be proud or embarrassed that my alma mater, UC Irvine, is number 44. I have a hard time believing UC Davis (cowtown), UC San Francisco (the college no one ever hears about), and UC Santa Barbara (slacker heaven) all beat it.
Ironically, UCI was number 16 on this list of 100 happiest colleges. I don't remember it being all that happy. In fact I can remember several times being extremely unhappy. Something about the prison-like architecture. Of course, it was about a million times better than high school, so I really can't complain.
I couldn't find a list of top 100 party schools. No one seems to care past top 10. However, I would bet a large amount of money or equivalent t-shirts that UCI wouldn't even make the list. UC Santa Barbara is always like number 7 or 8. Yet another stupid mistake in my life. I guess I am destined to learn things the hard way.
Another thing I now regret was being a GDI. If I could go back in time (I'm building my Tardis as we speak) I would go to a different school (out of state), studied something worthwhile, and rush every frat I could find.
Or not. Regret is for suckers.
